What I Want to Know: Mysteries, Paradoxes, and Urgent Issues

The International Association for the Study of Attachment (IASA) is a multi-disciplinary association of mental health professionals who study or apply the dynamic-maturational model of attachment and adaptation (DMM).

Our primary goal is using developmental, systemic, and neuro-cognitive knowledge to change the way treatment is conceptualized and delivered in order to make treatment more effective.

We invite presentations and participation from those who already work with the DMM as well as those with a new interest in it.

Program
The main strands in the conference program are:

  1. Prevention and early intervention: Early childhood, the transition to adulthood and early parenthood.
  2. Challenging disorders: ADHD, autism, eating and personality disorders, addictions, etc.
  3. Forensic applications: Both criminal and domestic/familial.
  4. An integrative approach to treatment: Based on all theories of treatment.

In addition to invited talks and symposia, proposals for research findings, research in progress, video demonstrations, and case presentations are invited. All presenters must submit their proposal on-line at www.iasa-dmm.org All presenters must register for the conference.
