It is a tradition of SRCD that at each of our biennial meetings, several major awards are presented. A call for nominations for each of the awards listed below is presented to the general membership. The Awards Committees are responsible for officially nominating and selecting award recipients.
These awards recognize contributions to the field of child development in various areas:
SRCD Early Career Research Contributions Awards
Early Career Research Contribution Awards were established in 2002, and are made to a person or persons who distinguish themselves as researchers and scholars, as evidenced through research, publications, and scholarly activity. Nominees should ordinarily be no more than six years beyond the Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Award recipients are invited to participate in the Society's Oral History Project immediately after the awards presentation with repeat interviews at appropriate intervals in their careers.
