Notice to Contributors

In July 2009, the American Psychological Association released the 6th edition of their Publication Manual. The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association provides guidelines for writers in the social and behavioral sciences.

The Society for Research in Child Development requires all authors to follow APA style when submitting manuscripts. We ask that authors familiarize themselves with the 6th edition, as there have been some changes made including updates on electronic reference formats and the construction of tables and figures. We will begin to implement the 6th edition of APA's Publication Manual on January 1, 2010.

Please visit www.apa.org for more information. You may also visit this website (http://www.apastyle.org/manual/whats-new.aspx) to access specific information on what is new in the 6th edition.
