| SRCD CCI Rules of Etiquette |
|
By joining and using SRCD's Communities of Common Interest, you agree that you have read and understand the rules of etiquette outlined below, and agree to abide by them. SRCD reserves the right to remove subscribers who do not abide by the guidelines outlined below.
- Include a subject line in each posting. Your subject should be clear and descriptive.
- Use your "reply-to" option carefully. Send your reply to the entire Community only when it contains information that is beneficial to the entire group. Otherwise, reply to the the sender directly by manually typing an email address in the "to" field, or by using your forward option.
- When replying to messages, retain only the relevant portions or the original message. Delete superfluous information, such as headers, signatures, etc. Scrolling through them can be cumbersome for your recipient.
- Include a signature tag on all outgoing postings. However, delete other signature tags when appropriate. They take up space unecessarily.
- Refrain from sending "remove me" messages to the entire group. Instead, use the unsubscribe option offered on the main Communities of Common Interest page.
- Refrain from posting "flames" or attacking others. SRCD's goal is to provide a venue for open discussion and conversation. Abusive or offensive postings are strictly prohibited.
- Please review your message carefully before posting. Is your message clear and concise? Will your message be understood by the rest of the Community?
- Finally, please participate! SRCD is excited to support these Communities of Common Interest. We hope these Communities will foster stimulating conversation and focused networking opportunities with colleagues in your area of interest.
