SRCD Policy Fellowship Panel and Reception
Thursday, April 18, 4:10 PM - 5:40 PM; Room 400 (Washington State Convention Center)
This session will include both a panel presentation and a reception. The panel will include an overview of the Fellowship Program and presentations by the current SRCD Policy Fellows in the Congressional and Executive Branches about the work they are focusing on at their placements and their experiences as Fellows. The reception will provide an opportunity to interact one-on-one with current and former Fellows and those who work closely with the Fellowship Program. The SRCD Policy Fellowships allow developmental researchers from various disciplines and at different stages of their careers to serve as “resident scholars” in federal policy settings. The goals of the Fellowship include (1) to contribute to the use of developmental science in the formation of public policy, (2) to educate the scientific community about the development of public policy, and (3) to establish a more effective liaison between developmental scientists and the federal policy-making process.
