Student and Early Career Counsel (SECC)

Visit the SECC Hospitality Room – open to all student and early career attendees!

Please stop by the SRCD Student Early Career Council (SECC) Hospitality Room on the fourth floor of the Washington State Convention Center in Room 401. This space is an informal meeting place for networking opportunities, temporarily storing posters (Note: We are not responsible for misplaced, lost, or stolen posters.), and finding out more about SRCD and SECC. SECC will be hosting coffee hours on special topics daily. See the SECC Schedule of Events and join us for free coffee and great conversations. During the coffee sessions, the room will only be available for coffee talk attendees. Otherwise, the room will be open during conference hours. If for no other reason, stop by to enter to rest and grab a piece of candy. All student and early career attendees are welcome to drop in!

What Is the Student/Early Career Council?

The Student/Early Career Council was created in 1999 by the SRCD Governing Council to facilitate increased involvement in SRCD for students and young professionals who are within 5 years of receiving their graduate degree. This involvement includes representing student and early career interests on SRCD committees, and working to identify and implement organizational changes that might benefit the student and early professional membership. SECC is committed to providing resources and information to all of the Student and Early Career Members of SRCD. Please feel free to contact us with any thoughts, ideas, or comments at secc@srcd.org.
