| Benefits of SRCD Membership |
|
The Society for Research in Child Development continues to grow every year, and we want you to be a part of our association. We now have more then 5,400 members in over 48 countries, meaning there are more opportunities than ever to network with other child development professionals. The governing council and staff of SRCD have worked diligently to make the benefits of membership the best they can be:
-
SRCD offers a discounted two-year rate for members. Now you can apply for two years at one time, saving you both time and money. Choosing this option provides you a 5% discount, as well as protection from any possible raise in dues payments for the next two years.
-
Our work in advocacy for research in child development and in child development policy is recognized as making a significant impact.
-
SRCD recently reaffirmed its commitments to increasing diversity in our publications, membership, and other activities; to fostering international research and collaborations; and to strengthening our interactions with all disciplines relevant to behavioral and biobehavioral scholarship in child development.
-
SRCD has partnered with JSTOR, an archival database, to offer 70 years of back issues of Child Development and Monographs online. This access is free with your membership and allows more extensive search capabilities than ever before.
-
networking with other child development professionals and exchanging information and ideas through our listservs and online membership directory.
-
advancing your professional development by attending the excellent educational sessions at the Society’s 2009 Biennial Meeting, in Denver, CO,
April 2-4, 2009.
-
Child Development and Monographs of the Society for Research in Child Development continue to be the top ranked journals in the field in terms of citation indices and total circulation. In 2007 SRCD will publish the first two issues of Child Development Perspectives (see description on the publications webpage).
-
having access to the “members only” section of our website provides advance online access to Child Development and our other publications, the online SRCD Directory of Members, full-text online search capabilities through Blackwell-Synergy, a powerful research tool.
