Scheduled for 1 hour and 15 minutes, posters are the format for free-standing research presentations. Posters are recommended when material is strongly data-based, can be explained briefly, is suited for graphic or visual presentation, and/or would benefit from high levels of interaction and discussion.
- Posters will be displayed for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- Each accepted poster occupies one poster board for the entire session.
- No power or electronic devices will be available.
General Procedures for Submitting Posters
- Enter basic information (format choice, a title with no more than 130 characters, review panel 31)
- Enter information for the authors and specify a role and order for each person. Be prepared to enter complete information for yourself and accurate full names, affiliations, and email addresses for all other people on your submission.
- Upload a summary as an MS Word, WordPerfect, or PDF file. To achieve a word-count of 500 or less--about a page and two-thirds:
- Use 1-inch margins on all four sides.
- 12-pt Times (New) Roman font and double-spacing is required.
- Place the submission title at the top of the first page.
- Please do not include reference lists. If a reference is necessary, included it in the text as: (authors, title, journal, year).
- No names or other identifying information may be included in the text.
- Graphics are encouraged, but are optional. These graphics may be embedded in your summary file or uploaded in a second file as an MS Word, WordPerfect, or PDF file. The two graphics allowed may be:
- 2 tables or
- 2 figures, or
- 1 table plus 1 figure
