Nighisti Dawit

Nighisti Dawit is SRCD’s Policy Manager. She works with the Policy Team to advance developmental science and translate findings for diverse audiences through a variety of policy-related products. Before joining SRCD in 2020, Nighisti was Policy Analyst at the Food Research & Action Center (FRAC) where she worked with an extensive network of national, state, and local anti-hunger organizations and education and youth development partners to use data to improve children’s access to federal child nutrition programs. Nighisti has a M.Sc. in Social Policy and Planning from the London School of Economics and Political Science as well as a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Human Development from the University of Maryland, College Park.
