With almost 250 alumni over our 30+ years of program success, SRCD has placed fellows in Washington, D.C., as well as in 20 states in all regions of the country. Among the alumni are some of the most influential researchers in early childhood, senior staff at federal and state agencies, and philanthropic leaders.

Where do fellows go?
Our federal agency placements have been running for more than 30 years. In that time, almost 70% have remained in policy-relevant roles, including in government, nonprofits, philanthropy, or research firms. We like to joke that we’re slowly infiltrating the policy world. But we know that we’re achieving one of our main program goals – we’re building a network of experts with the necessary research and policy skills to bridge developmental science, state policymaking, and practice.
Our state placements have been running since 2017. In that time, we have had over 30 alum who have spanned a range of post-fellowship trajectories, including academia, government, nonprofits and more.
