The Society for Research in Child Development is now accepting submissions for its 6th annual Small Grants Program for Early Scholars. Grants of up to $7,500 are available on a competitive basis for research projects conducted by SRCD early career members who completed their doctoral degrees in the past five years. We especially encourage applicants from those based in international institutions and/or those conducting research in under-represented countries.

The funding priorities for these grants include a proposed project that:

  • Exemplifies exceptional scientific merit,
  • Will contribute to the applicant’s competitiveness for external funding and/or career advancement, and
  • Furthers SRCD’s strategic goals.

All components of the proposal package must be submitted through the application portal for the proposal to be reviewed.

A note on applying: SRCD’s awards management platform has changed. If you have not created a new account since August 2023, please use the link below to create an account prior to completing the application. If you have questions, please reach out to scholar@srcd.org.

Submission deadline is February 7, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Decision notifications will be sent out in late April 2024. For inquiries, please contact scholar@srcd.org.
