The Coalition for National Science Funding (CNSF) wrote a letter to Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-WI), House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), and Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-NY) calling for a bipartisan budget agreement that increases spending caps for discretionary programs. The letter further recommends a congressional appropriation of $7.8 billion for the National Science Foundation (NSF) in FY2018.
