Roman McNeil is SRCD's CAPM-certified Science and Publications Programs Specialist, where he applies his expertise in program and project management, international engagement, scholarly publishing, and equity-focused practice to advance the SRCD’s mission.
Roman oversees operations for SRCD’s four scholarly publications and is dedicated to expanding the organization’s international and interdisciplinary reach through global programming, member engagement, accessibility initiatives, and anti-racism efforts. Roman program-manages the SRCD LEARN Program, supporting early-career researchers in Colombia and Ghana, and played a key role in relaunching the Early Career Interdisciplinary Scholars Fellowship (ECISF) Program at SRCD Biennials to foster cross-disciplinary collaboration. He also contributes significantly to organizing SRCD’s major events, including the 2024 SRCD Anti-Racist Developmental Science Summit in Panama City, Panama, and the upcoming 2026 Global Forum on Development, Health, and Rights in Utrecht, Netherlands.
Passionate about connecting research, culture, and community, Roman joined SRCD in 2022 after earning his B.A. in International Affairs with a minor in Linguistics from The George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs. In his free time, he enjoys spending time in nature, exploring languages and cultures, and developing educational content and digital products that highlight the intersections of education, linguistics, and global sustainable development.
