The SRCD Social Policy Report editorial board has renamed the journal Child Policy Nexus (CPN), with the tagline, Child Development Research and Policy Considerations.
The new name more explicitly signals the journal’s dual purposes:
- To provide policymakers and affiliated audiences (including elected officials, government agency staff, program developers, and practitioners) with comprehensive, non-partisan reviews of child development research findings to inform decision-making.
- To inform SRCD members about (a) policy issues related to child development and (b) child development research related to such issues.
This change also coincides with SRCD’s move to its new publishing partner, Oxford University Press.
Child Policy Nexus will continue to follow a two-step submission process:
1. Authors propose a topic.
2. If the Lead Editor approves that topic, the authors submit a full manuscript for peer review.
Child Policy Nexus will continue to publish three to four times per year. The editorial board welcomes topic proposals and manuscripts on a rolling basis. For further information: cpn@srcd.org
