Travel Awards
Travel Award Application Deadline - Thursday, March 6, 2026 (11:59 PM EST)
The SOGI Global Forum organizers are grateful to the International Society for the Study of Behavioural Development (ISSBD), SRCD General Council, SRCD SOGIE Caucus, the William T. Grant Foundation, and individual donors for funding travel awards.
Travel awards are limited to students or early career academics, residents of low- and middle-income countries, and those affiliated with non-academic, non-governmental, or non-profit organizations. If selected, awards will cover $1,500 (USD) for travel outside Europe and $750 (USD) for travel within Europe. All the required eligibility criteria are listed below.
If you meet these criteria, we encourage you to complete the application by Thursday, March 6, 2026.
Applicant Eligibility:
- To apply for a Travel Award, applicants must be a presenting author on an accepted proposal for the 2026 SOGI Global Forum Meeting.
- Applicants must either be (1) a student or early-career academic; (2) a resident of or traveling from a low- or middle-income country; (3) affiliated with a non-academic, non-governmental/non-profit organization.
- SRCD or ISSBD membership is NOT required to apply for a 2026 Global Forum Travel Award.
- Awardees are not required to stay at a specific hotel. Sharing rooms is permitted, but you must present a receipt for your room stay with all guests listed on the hotel invoice.
- Awards will be given out as reimbursement after the meeting.
- There will be timed electronic check-in slots during the meeting. Failure to check in electronically during these times will result in the revocation of your travel award.
